Inspiration and design
Whether you want to re-create a famous engagement ring or design a truly unique one, at AKA our expert team will help guide you through every step of the bespoke process. Our specialist can help optimise your budget, find the right diamond or gemstone, and give you professional friendly advice on what would work best for you.
- STEP 1
CAD Development
Once you’re happy with the design and price, we will create a computerised (CAD) model of your bespoke ring. During this stage you can experiment with your design and see different precious metals, settings and gemstones varieties.
- STEP 2
Casting & setting the stones
When the CAD design is approved, we will begin creating your masterpiece all by hand in our Manchester workshop. We will cast the metal for the ring, build a claw for the gemstone to rest and add it to the ring. Each stage of creating the ring will be done in house.
Once the metal and claw are prepared, we will attach the stone. We will keep you updated throughout the process to ensure your satisfied.
- STEP 3
Your ring is complete
Once all the stones are set, the item then has a final polish and steam clean, before being passed to quality control. The item then has its final quality check, is photographed, and appraised for insurance purposes. We will then contact you to arrange for you to come in and collect your truly unique 1 of 1 handmade piece of jewellery.
